PIA NORDPOL+ today launches the kick-off communication for a unique form of financing in German professional soccer. The FC St. Pauli club is presenting the newly registered cooperative ‘Football Cooperative St. Pauli von 2024 eG’ to its members and the public. By founding the cooperative, the club is going its own way to financially secure its sporting success.
The creative agency conveys the club’s self-confident statement “Another soccer is possible” through communication measures on stadium perimeter boards, on stadium TV, in all of the club’s media and on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. The campaign is complemented by a landing page and local out-of-home presence.
“The FCSP can communicate its values all the better the more successful it is in sporting terms and therefore the more visible it is. The cooperative as a grassroots democratic and sustainable form of financing, which guarantees the club’s independence from investors, is an important building block on this path,” says Martin Drust, Managing Director Marketing, FC St. Pauli.
“FC St. Pauli has inspired us and our work for two decades – the courage and ability to always think and live “We do it differently” is unique,” explains Niklas Franke, Strategy Director, PIA NORDPOL+.
Part of the launch communication is a key visual that will be used for communication in the stadium, in ads, for OOH and social media. The campaign will be dynamically expanded over the next few weeks with additional motifs from comrades who have been won over. In addition, there will be a 60-second ad that will be played out via social media and the club’s own landing page.
FC St. Pauli is a long-standing client that PIA NORDPOL+ has been supporting creatively and strategically for 25 years with many seasonal campaigns and brand communication.
